Important Announcement on EVHS and WCS

Following the government changes, the Workplace Charging Scheme has been extended.

From April 1st 2022, charities and small accommodation businesses may apply to the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCs) to support provision of chargepoints for their guests or visitors. The WCS will continue to provide chargepoints for all businesses, their staff, and fleets.

Additionally, EV grants for home are now replacing EVHS. The provision of EV chargepoints in flats and rental accommodation are going live from the 1st of April.

The EV Chargepoint Grant is now available for landlords, allowing them to apply for grants. Landlord registration is available from the 1st of April 2022 and installers will be able to submit grant claims from 1st May 2022. Please note that there is an additional step required for this grant. Customers must register so that whether or not they qualify for the grant can be verified. Once registered, EVHS approved installers may then apply for grants for work completed under this scheme, as they currently do for EVHS. The EV Chargepoint Grant for residential carparks will be made available for landlord registration from 1st May 2022 and for installers to submit grant claims from 1st June 2022. Full guidance for how the scheme will operate will be made available in due course.
